Matshepiso Mavunga
**Works as: **Administrator
**Employer:** Lindiwe Events, 589 Stafie Street Pretoria North

Before her YES story began, Matshepiso did a lot of volunteer work at the Mae Jemison Science Library. There, during a coding class, she heard about YES and immediately signed up. She was subsequently placed in a catering company called Lindiwe Events, where she now works as an administrator.

Matshepiso describes her YES journey as eye-opening, one that has taught her the ins and out of the business world, as well as patience and workplace readiness. Her boss, a young female employer, has pushed and inspired her to become an all-rounder and to work towards building her own business.

‘’I’m currently working on a business plan with a friend who’s also a colleague,’’ says Matshepiso. ‘’We‘ve registered a business – a true step in the right direction!’’
