Diageo South Africa recognises the significance of championing inclusion and diversity, especially in a country
with a complex history of inequality. The ”Learning for Life" programme is a testament to their commitment. This
initiative imparts essential business and hospitality skills to individuals seeking employment, with a strong focus
on those who have faced various barriers in their lives.
In partnership with the Youth Employment Service (YES), this programme has already benefitted 280 individuals. The company's goal is to support 460 learners through this initiative, with a notable emphasis on ensuring that 50% of the beneficiaries are women. Additionally, the Diageo Bar Academy programme, an international top training, inspiration, and networking hub for bar professionals, has conducted 6,800 training sessions, further advancing diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
