According to Stats SA, South African women make up 36.4% of the unemployed population, while women between the ages of 15 and 34 make up 48.7% of the unemployed youth.
South African women are at the forefront of diverse movements for social change. They’re doing unconventional jobs like piloting drones, 3D printing and conservation. So how do we break down the deep-rooted structural, cultural, and socio-economic barriers that prevent women from taking their seats at the decision-making table? How do we empower the young female leaders of tomorrow? How do we amplify women’s voices and promote their participation and leadership in business and society?
