Tshepo Mpungose is from Lamontville, a small township located between Umlazi and Chatsworth. The population size of my community is 51,000 with the majority of young people unemployed, living in impoverished conditions.
Tshepo says his life changed drastically when he became a YES Youth: “I was able to learn and develop my skills, and simultaneously receive a stipend to assist my family with day-to-day essentials. Most importantly, I can dream again, and believe in my potential and abilities”.
